Pathways 3H Awards First High School Diploma

Shane Booth

Today, Pathways 3H Wilderness Program along with the University of Texas Charter School awarded Shane Booth his high school diploma. A full ceremony facilitated by Prinicipal Cathy Berryhill was held to commemorate this achievement. Shane is the first youth to turn 18 in care of Pathways 3H, so his entire treatment and education team worked together to accelerate his schooling inside the program allowing him the opportunity to walk into adulthood with a high school diploma.

Joel Grimmett, Pathways 3H Executive Director, describes it’s significance, “This was an important step for Shane in his journey to a productive adult life. I know it meant a lot for Shane’s mother to be there, but I appreciate that 38 other boys witnessed the result of hard work and the significance of their education. I hope it inspires them to utilize the potential for change in their own lives.”
